About Chad McCarthy

Meet Chad McCarthy, the grassroots candidate stepping forward to challenge the six-year incumbent and restore conservative values to the office of state representative.

Republican for House District 10

Chad McCarthy holds a master’s and a Ph.D. and has supported his family as a serial entrepreneur while church planting and pastoring.

He knows firsthand the blood, sweat, and tears that go into building a small business.

Having spent significant time living and volunteering outside the USA, Chad can give personal testimony to the value of constitutional representation and small government.

He has seen firsthand the crushing effects of corruption, liberalism, and socialism.

He has worked in once-prosperous nations whose economies were reduced to abject poverty in just a few short years.

Having walked the streets of cities in ruins and held the hands of impoverished parents barely able to feed their children, Chad can provide example after example of why sound government policy matters.

Standing for freedom requires the tireless pursuit of 'letting the people have a voice.'

An Oklahoman by choice, Chad believes Patrick Henry's clarion call, 'Give me liberty or give me death,' is a challenge we must heed today. If we don’t stand for liberty, this liberty will be stripped away.

Historically, this erosion begins slowly, like the slow dripping of water. If left unchecked, this erosion picks up steam like an avalanche. His hope is that his children will experience as adults the same freedoms that made Oklahoma a great place to raise his family.

But such freedom comes with a cost. This cost requires everyday Americans to stand firm in the face of government overreach.

The three-term incumbent has repeatedly voted to increase spending; voted in favor of hundreds of millions in corporate welfare; has been an advocate for taxing and tracking every mile Oklahomans drive; opposed legislation that ended procedural abortions; opposed legislation seeking to address drag shows; and has even opposed getting rid of the punitive state grocery tax.

By contrast, Chad is committed to much smaller government and conservative principles.

By refusing all lobbyist money, Chad will be free to represent you, residents of House District 10.

Together, we can stand firm for principles of individual liberty and freedom.

Standing together, we can continue making Oklahoma a frontrunner state in protecting individual rights and freedoms.

The McCarthy Family

Father to six children, and husband to Heather for twenty-seven years, Chad and his wife are Oklahomans by choice. Lifelong entrepreneurs and farmers, Chad and Heather lived across Middle America before planting roots in Washington County, Oklahoma. They chose Oklahoma for its conservative, freedom-loving values. Their farmhouse offers a picturesque view of registered beef cows.

Chad's Platform

Chad McCarthy is running for the House because we've got to do something to preserve our nation and state from all of the unprecedented attacks on our values, freedoms and individual liberties. Like you, he feels betrayed by the Republican politicians who campaigned on our values but then, once elected, do little to defend them. A recent comprehensive audit showed that the current six-year incumbent is voting for Republican principles just 31% of the time. Chad McCarthy is stepping up and challening this incumbent beacuse he wants to do his part to help save our individual freedoms, our state and our nation. You can join him in this mission by voting for Chad McCarthy on June 18th.

Defend Liberty

Protect Constitutional Freedoms

Chad McCarthy will defend the right-to-life of the unborn and protect our 2nd Amendment rights.

Oppose the Orwellian Surveillance State

Chad McCarthy will oppose Oklahoma’s Orwellian track-and-tax, pay-by-the-mile plan that will let the government track every mile you drive. The incumbent has supported the pilot project version of this plan. It is set for another vote after this election.

Stand up for the Individual's Rights

Chad McCarthy will oppose all government and corporate mandates.

A Higher Standard

Saying "NO!" to the Special Interests

This is the difference maker; it sets Chad apart from almost all other candidates who have sought state office.

Chad will refuse all campaign funds and personal gifts from lobbyists and their employers. It's these gifts and funding that cause so many "Republican" office holders to betray our values.

Oppose Big Government

Vote "No!" on Expansions of State Government

Chad will vote against the many bills that are creating spending increases, fee hikes, corporate welfare programs and special interest tax schemes. These votes are regularly supported by the six-year incumbent.

Protect Our Values

Fight the Woke Agenda and Oppose DEI

Chad will work to stop all forms of DEI and the woke insanity, especially in our schools.

Be a Courageous Voice Against Bad Legislation

Chad McCarthy Won't be Afraid to Use His NO! Button

A shocking audit reveals that, in 2023, our six-year incumbent Judd Strom has missed votes much more frequently than he has voted no. As bills by liberal Democrats, shucked bills with minimal transparency, raising fees, sending government spending out of control, enacting DEI and more have flown off the House floor, Strom voted yes 94% of the time. In the words of one experienced observer, "If the Speaker of the House blew a leaf across Strom's desk, he would probably sign it."

Chad McCarthy knows that many of the bills in the legislature are bad and must be defeated and he will frequenly vote against them.
